Location

Ironically Great Walsingham is the smaller neighbour to the more famous Little Walsingham. A quintessential old english village with a village green and a ford, it is easily by-passed in the shadow of it’s more famous neighbour but it is a hidden secret and we are sure you will love it as much as we do! The village boasts a fantastic award winning pie shop & cafe and art gallery. It is quiet and peaceful, you might be woken in the morning by a tractor or the clip-clop of horses but you will be guaranteed an idyllic countryside retreat. A walk accross the ford takes you past St Peter’s church and into Little Walsingham where you will find a selection of eateries. The Walsingham Farm shop has everything you need for your culinary creations with so much local produce! During your stay you must wander the old streets of Little Walsingham, visiting the Abbey grounds, the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, the museum and don’t forget a trip on the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway. This railway goes from Walsingham to Wells-next-the-sea so is the perfect way to see the Norfolk countryside and visit Wells without the worry of finding a parking space! Follow us on Facebook or Instagram to see local places to visit, places to eat and countryside views of beautiful north Norfolk!
